Nokia may no longer be at the forefront of the smartphone market, but it’s a brand familiar to people worldwide. A few years ago, the Finnish company dominated the mobile phone landscape. However, Nokia’s supremacy waned as the world transitioned to smartphones, and giants like Apple and Samsung emerged. Although still in business, Nokia is often overlooked by those looking to purchase new smartphones.
BBK Group, the company that acquired the Nokia brand from Microsoft, is determined to revive Nokia’s reputation. The firm recently unveiled a refreshed Nokia logo and a new user interface that may bring significant changes to design and animations. Sources suggest that Nokia is preparing to enter the flagship segment in earnest.
Nokia is reportedly gearing up to launch an impressive flagship phone featuring an attractive design and a fresh user interface. Dubbed the “Nokia Magic Max,” the device is expected to compete directly with the iPhone. It will also be the first Nokia phone to introduce the company’s latest user interface, Nokia’s Pure UI.
Design of the Nokia Magic Max
Leaks suggest that the Nokia Magic Max will sport a unique yet familiar design. The front of the device is expected to have a bezel-less display. Meanwhile, the rear camera setup resembles that of Apple’s iPhone. The smartphone will also feature flat edges, inspired by the iPhone, but with a more rounded feel at the back for added comfort when held.
Specs of the Nokia Magic MaxThanks to a recent leak by 91Mobiles, we have a more comprehensive picture of the Nokia Magic Max’s specifications. The device will reportedly feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with thinner bezels than the iPhone, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a resolution of 1080×2400. A 64MP punch-hole selfie camera will be located at the top center of the display.
Performance of the Nokia Magic Max
The Nokia Magic Max is expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Sources also suggest that the device will be available in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM options. Two storage options will be offered, 256GB and 512GB, both utilizing the fast UFS 4.0 storage technology.
The rear of the device will house a triple camera setup, featuring a 108MP main sensor, 16MP ultrawide sensor, and 5MP macro lens. One of the phone’s standout features will be its battery life, with leaks indicating a whopping 7,500mAh battery capacity. Fast charging capability will also be supported, though exact specifications are unknown.
Price, Colors, and Release Date of the Nokia Magic Max
Sources claim that Nokia will sell the device at an attractive starting price of INR 32,990 ($400). The smartphone is expected to be available in four color options: red, black, gold, and green. While Nokia has not yet made an official statement, reports suggest that the Nokia Magic Max will launch in August 2023.
As exciting as this news is, the device itself promises to be even more impressive. We will continue to closely monitor updates regarding the Nokia Magic Max and inform you of any new developments as they emerge.
